Pakistan Shaheens pulverized Adelaide Strikers in match 23 of the Top End T20 2025 to jump to the second spot on the 11-team points table. Bowlers Mubasir Khan, Mehran Mumtaz and Faisal Akram decimated the Strikers after opening batter Maaz Sadaqat hogged the limelight with the bat.

Maaz Sadaqat Blitzes PAK Shaheens Above 200 With Swift Ton

Winning the toss and batting first, Pakistan Shaheens mounted over 200 runs in 20 overs. Openers Yasir Khan and Maaz Sadaqat crafted 149 runs together for the opening wicket in just 84 balls before the former had his innings curtailed by Jerrssis Wadia for a speedy 51. Sadaqat went on to smear 104 runs off 59 balls with 11 boundaries and two huge sixes before falling to Tom O'Connell at the death.

Harry Manenti (3-31) delivered a tight triple-wicket final over to contain some damage as Adelaide Strikers restricted Pakistan Shaheens to 202-6.

Mubasir, Mumtaz And Faisal Annihilate Adelaide Strikers

Adelaide Strikers’ response never took off as they lost opener Josh Kann for a first-ball duck and number three Ryan King for just a single in just the first three overs of the innings. Opener Mackenzie Harvey top-scored for the Strikers with a mere 27 as they slipped from a comfortable 37-2 to 51-7 in the space of just three overs.

The Adelaide Strikers eventually bundled out for just 95 in 16.1 overs to fall 107 runs short of their target. For Pakistan Shaheens, off-spinner Mubasir Khan unfurled the spell of the innings with exceptional figures of 3-19. Mehran Mumtaz and Faisal Akram also chipped in with two wickets apiece.
