India's Travel Plan Out; SKY And Co To Depart For UAE On September 4 For Asia Cup - Report

On Tuesday, August 19, the BCCI selectors sat down for a meeting with captain Suryakumar Yadav and announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup. 

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side, while Shubman Gill will serve as his deputy. Notably, the tournament will begin on September 9 in the UAE, and the travel plans are reportedly out. 

India To Leave For UAE On September 4

Notably, according to a report from News24 as quoted by ABPlive, the team will depart for the UAE on September 4 or 5, five days before the tournament begins. 

Notably, India's campaign will kickstart from September 10 when the Men in Blue take on the hosts, the UAE, in Dubai. The Men in Blue will play two of their matches at the Dubai International Stadium.  Meanwhile, they will travel to Abu Dhabi for the third match of the group stage. Further, there will be no training games as the selectors are confident in the players picked because of their recent performances in IPL 2025.

India's Fixtures For Asia Cup 2025

Notably, the Asia Cup is a long tournament and the final for the prestigious T20 event will take place on September 28. Talking about the Men in Blue's fixture, they will play three games in the group stage.

  • India vs Pakistan - September 14, Dubai International Stadium
  • India vs Oman - Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi
