As he often does, former Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Virat Kohli signed an autograph for a fan to make his day. Unsurprisingly, the fan ended up expressing admiration for the legendary cricketer.

Kohli, who was welcomed like a hero upon landing in Chennai, was generous enough to take out time in meeting a few fans after RCB’s training session at the MA Chidambaram Stadium today. Upon realizing the chance to get clicked with Kohli, some fortunate fans ended up cashing in on the same.

I love you, bro,” a fan shouted post receiving an autograph from Kohli.

Having won their first match each, Chennai Super Kings and Bengaluru will lock horns against each other in a clash of the titans on Friday. Post witnessing CSK defeating Mumbai Indians at the same venue, local fans would be hoping for their team to achieve a triumph in the South Indian derby as well.

Virat Kohli Returns To Chennai After Six Months

Kohli, who first represented India in Chennai 15 years ago, played the last of his 15 international matches here in September.

While it was a Test match against Bangladesh, Kohli’s last Indian Premier League appearance at this stadium had come a year ago. As a matter of fact, he has played just one IPL match in Chennai post IPL 2021.

Across 15 Chennai T20s, the right-handed batter has scored 464 runs at an average of 30.93 and a strike rate of 114.56 including three half-centuries. Speaking particular of IPL matches at this ground, Kohli’s 383 runs have come at an average and strike rate of 29.46 and 111.01 respectively across 13 innings.
