Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have touched down in Chennai ahead of their highly anticipated IPL 2025 match against the five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 28. The team, led by Rajat Patidar, arrived in the city after a dominant seven-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the tournament opener on March 22.

As the RCB squad made their way through the Chennai Airport, star batter Virat Kohli was met with a warm reception. Fans greeted the 36-year-old cricketer with loud chants of ‘Kohli, Kohli’ and the iconic ‘Ee Sala Cup Namde’ as he exited the airport.
Kohli, who had been in sublime form in the opener, remained unbeaten on 59 off just 36 balls, leading RCB to a commanding victory in their first game. His match-winning knock included four boundaries and three sixes, and alongside Phil Salt, Kohli ensured RCB completed the chase of 175 in only 16.2 overs with seven wickets to spare.
Despite their strong performance against KKR, Bengaluru is expected to face tough competition from CSK, especially considering their formidable spin attack, which had troubled Mumbai Indians in their opening match.
