Liam Dawson Replaces Bashir As ENG Name Playing XI
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has named England’s playing XI for the upcoming fourth Test of the five-match series against India. The England team management made just one change to their winning line-up, with spinner Liam Dawson being called up in place of injured Shoaib Bashir. Dawson last played for England back in mid-2017, thus making his impending appearance his return to Test cricket after a gap of eight years.
The fourth Test between India and hosts England will be played from July 23 onwards at Old Trafford in Manchester.
Siraj Confirms Jasprit Bumrah’s Availability For 4th Test
Jasprit Bumrah will play the upcoming fourth Test against England in Manchester, as confirmed by his Indian teammate Mohammed Siraj. Earlier this tour, the Indian speedster was rested from the playing XI for the second Test of the series in Birmingham as part of his workload management. Siraj confirmed Bumrah’s participation while speaking with the reporters a couple of days prior to the launch of the penultimate Test of the series.
Sikandar Raza Returns As ZIM Name Squad For NZ Tests
Zimbabwe Cricket has named Zimbabwe’s 16-player line-up for the upcoming two-match Test series against the visiting New Zealand team. As confirmed by the board on their official social media accounts, senior all-rounder Sikandar Raza will be making his return to the team after missing the two-match home series against South Africa earlier this month.
Craig Ervine will continue to lead Zimbabwe in the series, set to be played between July 30 and August 11. Both Tests against New Zealand will be hosted by the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
Sarfaraz Khan Confirms Stunning Transformation
Discarded Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan showed off his exceptional body transformation. Taking to his Instagram account, the charismatic Mumbai batter shared a picture of himself, with many media outlets claiming that he has shed 17 kgs of weight in the past two months. Sarfaraz even earned a significant praise from former England captain and prominent commentator Kevin Pietersen.
Sending out a strong message to the Indian selectors, Sarfaraz Khan seems to be making rapid strides in a bid to earn a Team India call-up. He last played for the Indian team back in November 2024 during a home Test series against New Zealand.

Australia pipped West Indies by three wickets in the first T20I at Kingston to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. West Indies batted first and carted 189-8 from 20 overs, after reaching a formidable 123-1 at one stage of the innings. Captain Shai Hope (55 off 39) and Roston Chase (60 off 32) both bludgeoned swift half-centuries, before Ben Dwarshuis completed his four-wicket haul.
Chasing 190, Australia slipped to 78-4 before an explosive 26-ball 51 from Cameron Green stormed the hosts past the 150-run mark. Mitchell Owen also blasted 50 off just 27 balls after chipping in with a wicket. Despite two-fers from Gudakesh Motie, Jason Holder and Alzarri Joseph; Australia secured an easy win with seven balls in hand.
