After a thrilling victory in the first T20I, the Bangladesh side are all set to take on Pakistan in the second T20I of the series, to be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. This game will be played on Tuesday, July 25th, 2023, at 5:30 PM IST.

Bangladesh

Bangladesh had a wonderful evening with the ball in the first T20I, as Taskin Ahmed picked three wickets, while Mustafizur Rahman grabbed two wickets for just six runs in his four overs to fold Pakistan for just 110. With the bat, Parvez Hossain Emon scored 56*, as Bangladesh raced to victory with 4.3 overs to spare.

The Bangla tigers are full of confidence, as Litton Das and his men are all set with their explosive batting order, while their bowling is equally lethal. Alongside Taskin and Mustafizur, Tanzim Hasan Sakib was wonderful, as he delivered figures of 1/20, giving runs at an economy of just 5, keeping Pakistani batters under check.

Pakistan

Conversely, the Pakistan side had more failures than successes in the last game, with only Fakhar Zaman looking comfortable at the crease, before he eventually, unfortunately, got run out for 44. The rest of the batters, except Khushdil Shah and Abbas Afridi, couldn't even reach the double-figure mark, as even these two failed to score runs at a strike rate of even 100. With the ball, Salman Mirza was fabulous as he picked figures of 2 for 23, while Abbas Afridi got a single scalp to his name in his two overs.

The rest of the bowlers couldn't do much, except Abrar Ahmed, who couldn't pick a wicket but was highly economical, giving just 20 runs in his four overs. The new-look Pakistan side are hoping to make a turnaround in this encounter, as the new skipper Salman Agha will be aiming to turn the fortune around in the second T20I.

BAN vs PAK Head-To-Head Overview

Going by the head-to-head record, Pakistan is way ahead of the hosts Bangladesh in terms of the record, as they currently have 19 wins in 23 matches, while the Bangla Tigers have only been able to win four T20I matches so far against the Pakistan side in history. The previous win against Pakistan for Bangladesh was one of those rare occasions when the Tigers flipped the narrative.
