Taskin Ahmed Trashes Pakistan As BAN Go 1-0 Up
Bangladesh walloped Pakistan by seven wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series in Mirpur. Bowling first, Bangladesh bowlers bundled out the entire Pakistani line-up for just 110 in 19.3 overs, with Taskin Ahmed unfurling the spell of the innings with figures of 3-22. Mustafizur Rahman picked up two of his own and conceded just six runs off his four overs.
Chasing 111, Bangladesh consumed just 15.3 overs to seal the deal. Opening batter Parvez Hossain Emon top-scored in the game with a sublime 56* off 39 balls. Towhid Hridoy at number four also made 36 at a near run-a-ball after the failure of home captain Litton Das. For Pakistan, Salman Mirza picked up two wickets, both with the new ball.
South Africa March Into ZIM Tri-Series 2025 Final
South Africa marched into the final of the Zimbabwe T20I tri-series 2025 in Harare after outclassing hosts in match number four. Zimbabwe batted first and conjured 144-6 from 20 overs with an exceptional 43-ball 61 from opener Brian Bennett. Ryan Burl also chipped in with 36* off 31 balls. For South Africa, Corbin Bosch struck twice with the new ball.
South Africa chased down its 145-run target with seven wickets and 14 balls intact in the game. Captain Rassie van der Dussen anchored the chase with 52*, while Rubin Hermann blasted 63 from just 36.
Anshul Kamboj To Cover For Arshdeep, Akash Deep In Fourth Test
Indian fast bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep are likely ruled out of the team for the upcoming fourth Test against England owing to injuries. While Arshdeep hurt his bowling hand a few days ago, Akash has picked up a groin niggle during training.
The Indian team management has now called-up uncapped Indian cricketer Anshul Kamboj as a cover-up for the fourth Test in Manchester as per the Indian Express. Last month, Kamboj picked up five wickets in three innings spanning two first-class matches against England Lions.
ICC Awards WTC Final Hosting Rights To England
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has awarded the hosting rights of the next three World Test Championship (WTC) finals to England. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) also hosted the final of each of the three WTC editions played so far, in 2021, 2023 and 2025. While Southampton hosted the 2021 final, The Oval and Lord’s hosted the 2023 and 2025 finals respectively.
WCL Call Off India Vs Pakistan Champions Match
The organizers of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) officially called off the fourth match of the ongoing 2025 season, set to be played between India Champions and Pakistan Champions in Birmingham. The decision was confirmed after several key Indian players like Shikhar Dhawan publicly refused to engage in a game against Pakistan, citing the prevailing geo-political tensions shared between the governments of the two countries.
The WCL officials also issued a public apology to fans, for “hurting sentiments” and causing “unintentional discomfort.”
