BCCI unlikely to sack coach Gambhir despite SA drubbing: Report

The BCCI will likely not be taking any drastic steps against India head coach Gautam Gambhir, even after the Indian team suffered a humiliating 0-2 Test series defeat at home against South Africa under his tenure to record two home whitewashes within 12 months. As per an NDTV report, a BCCI source stated that the board is not looking to replace Gambhir since he is rebuilding the Indian team.

The BCCI source also added that there will be a meeting between the team management and the selection committee after the conclusion of India’s home series against South Africa, which also includes three impending ODIs and five T20Is.
