Adil Rashid Achieves 'This' Remarkable Feat With His 4-Wicket Haul Vs Oman In T20 WC

England’s spin maestro Adil Rashid, continuing his good form with the ball, returned with his second-best career figures against a sorry-looking batting line-up of Oman at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.

The defending champions dismantled Oman's batting unit, bowling them out for a mere 47 runs in just 13.2 overs. Rashid led the way with the ball as Oman was bundled out for the fourth-lowest score in ICC T20 World Cup history.

England dismantle Oman

In match number 28 of the T20 World Cup, Rashid claimed 4/11, a top performance reminiscent of his 4/2 spell against the West Indies in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

Asked to bat first, Oman never found their rhythm, pinned back from the start. They managed just 25 runs and lost 5 wickets within the powerplay. England’s bowlers remained consistent with their lines and lengths, making life difficult for the batters.

Oman's collapse continued, finding themselves at 35 for 7 after 10 overs, and they added little thereafter, ending at 47. The English bowling attack, led by Rashid, outclassed the Omani batters.

False shots were induced, and except for a dropped catch by Moeen Ali at first slip, England held onto every chance. Rashid proved too skilled for Oman's lower order, securing a four-wicket haul. Shoaib Khan was the only Omani batter to reach double digits.

England will next face Namibia and another win by a higher margin will seal their place in the Super 8, if Australia defeat Scotland.
