Afghanistan and Papua New Guniea are playing each other in the 29th match of the T20 World Cup 2024. This match is being played at the Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba in Trinidad.

Afghanistan won the toss for this game and have opted to field first. They have gone in with the same team for the match. 

The Rashid Khan-led team are coming into this game on the back of two convincing wins against Uganda and New Zealand. They will be looking to make it three wins out of three matches and confirm their berth in the Super Eights of the tournament. 

Paupa New Guinea have made once change to their team for this game. Semo Kamea is playing the match in place of Charles Amini. 

PNG played competitive cricket in their first match of the tournament against West Indies. However, they lost their next match against Uganda. They will be looking to bounce back in this match and put in a good display if not pull off another big upset of the tournament. 

Notably, if Afghanistan win this match, New Zealand will be eliminated from the tournament.
