In an infamous achievement, Oman were bowled out for a paltry 47-run total in their final group-stage match of the T20 World Cup 2024 against England at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.

After opting to bowl, the Englishmen ran a rampage with the ball as Oman were bundled out for 47 runs, their lowest-ever score in the World Cup.

Adil Rashid was the pick of the bowlers for England, recording sensational figures of four for eleven in his four-over spell.

Among others, Jofra Archer and Mark Wood rattled the Oman batting line-up, sharing the remaining six wickets equally.

Archer got the last wicket as he dismissed Shoaib Khan with a well-directed short delivery. The incident occurred during the fourteenth over of Oman's innings when they were miserably placed at 47 for nine.

After bowling a dot ball, Archer came over the wicket and delivered a nasty bouncer as Shoaib went for a wild hook shot.

However, like most of his colleagues, he couldn't time it properly, and the ball went gobbled up in the air for a long time. England captain Jos Buttler ran backwards and took a sharp catch to end his brief stay.

Considering the bowlers have done their job, England would like their batters to chase the target without any hiccups and massively boost their NRR with a comprehensive win.
