England's express pacer Mark Wood was all over Oman's batting lineup during the ongoing T20 World Cup clash between the two sides at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.

After dismissing Kashyap Prajapati and Zeeshan Maqsood in his first over, Wood returned to castle Ayaan Khan and leave Oman reeling at six for 32 in the blink of an eye.

The incident occurred during the eighth over of Oman's innings when they had already lost half of their side with a mere 30-odd runs on the board.

Bowling the second over of his spell, Wood kept things tight initially, conceding only two runs off his first five deliveries.

Coming from over the wicket, Wood bowled a 147KPH corker to deceive Ayaan Khan, who was late onto his shot. As a result, he got an inside-edge, with the ball castling his stumps.

Thus, Ayaan, who scored a valiant 41* against Scotland, departed for a solitary run in his side's final group-stage match.

Meanwhile, Oman lost their seventh man in the form of Mehran Khan after Ayaan's departure. As of writing, Oman were tottering at 36 for eight in 10.5 overs.

Besides Mark Wood, Adil Rashid and Jofra Archer have also starred with the ball for England, sharing five wickets between them.
