The entire cricket world is now all worried as Tamim Iqbal suffered a heart attack a day ago. While playing a domestic match in Bangladesh, the Bangladeshi star suffered the mishap and is currently under medical supervision.
As his teammate Shakib Al Hasan celebrated his 38th birthday yesterday, the Bangladeshi all-rounder penned a heartfelt note for Tamim and social media and urged fans to extend their prayers for him.
Shakib Al Hasan Pens A Heartfelt Note
The cricket world was in shock as Tamim Iqbal suffered a massive heart attack while playing a domestic match against Shinepukur. He was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent successful surgery at Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialized Hospital.
Amid the crisis, Shakib Al Hasan quietly turned 38 yesterday, but his birthday took a backseat to Tamim Iqbal’s health emergency. Putting all the rifts aside with Tamim, Shakib penned down a heartfelt note for him wishing his speedy recovery.
“Today is a special day for me, but I can't fully rejoice because my dear friend and teammate Tamim Iqbal is unwell. We have fought many battles together on the field and created countless memories. I always hope our journey together continues for many more years.” Shakib wrote.
“Tamim, you are one of the biggest strengths of Bangladesh cricket. I pray for your swift recovery and return to the field. Insha'Allah, you will be back with us very soon,” he added.
Urges Fans To Pray For The Bangladeshi Batter
Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan remained Bangladesh’s pillars of strength. Along with his wish, Shakib urged the fans to pray for Tamim’s speedy recovery.
“Your prayers for Tamim will be the best birthday gift for me. Please keep my brother in your thoughts so that he can recover quickly and return to the game.” Shakib wrote.
Tamim Iqbal has long been a cornerstone of Bangladesh cricket, amassing 15,249 runs across 391 international matches with 25 centuries and 94 fifties. As reports are suggesting he is stable now, fans are waiting to see him back on the field again.
