With IPL 2025 gearing up for another thrilling showdown, Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings are set to lock horns on the big stage. With both teams begins the season, Mohammed Siraj will also embark on an exciting new chapter in his career.

After ending a 7-year-long stint with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the star pacer is set to start a new chapter with Gujarat Titans. Before stepping into the game, Siraj reflects on his feelings about wearing the GT jersey for the first time.

Siraj On Donning GT Jersey For The First Time

After the teams submitted the retention for IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru came up with a shocker by not retaining Mohammed Siraj. Even at the auction table, the franchise let the spinner go and Gujarat Titans grabbed him without missing the chance with a whopping price of 12.25 crore.

Siraj’s goodbye was emotional even for the fan. The star pacer secured 83 wickets in 86 matches for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and left a lasting impact. Now, as he embarks on a new journey with Gujarat Titans, his focus is on the fresh challenge ahead. Ahead of their season opener, Siraj shares his excitement about wearing the GT jersey for the first time.

“I got emotional when I wore the GT jersey for the first time because it was 7 years with RCB. But I'm not feeling new here, the environment here is amazing". Siraj said.

Gujarat Titans Sharpen Their Blades For Punjab Kings

As IPL 2025 raised its curtain on March 22, Gujarat Titans are all set to face Punjab Kings at their inaugural clash. On the auction table, the Titans made a robust squad with a remarkable bowling unit. With the presence of Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Kagiso Rabada, and Ishant Sharma, Gt is set to challenge the PBKS batters.

Captain Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan, and Jos Buttler’s presence will boost GT’s top order. On the other hand, Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tewatia’s power-hitting ability will be crucial for the finisher’s role. Glenn Phillips and Sai Kishore’s presence can be x factor for the side.
