Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket Board's medical officer Debashis Chowdhury has issued a positive update on Tamim's health after his heart attack news stunned fans.

He stated that Tamim underwent surgery, as a stent was placed in one of his arteries to remove the blockage. However, he also revealed that the cricketer's vital organs were healthy and he would recover in quick time.

“His vital signs are improving, and we are optimistic that his overall health will continue to improve over the next 24 hours. “The hospital has informed us that a stent has been placed in one of his arteries, while the other arteries remain healthy," Debashis Chowdhury, the BCB’s medical officer, said.

Meanwhile, KPJ Specialised Hospital's media director Dr. Rajib Hasan disclosed the minute details of Tamim's treatment while also expecting a speedy recovery for the legendary batter.

“Tamim’s condition has improved. He experienced a heart attack, which required an angiogram, angioplasty, and stenting,” Dr. Hasan remarked. The procedure was successful, and the blockage in his artery has been completely resolved," Dr. Rajib Hasan, the hospital’s media director, said.

In his 16-year-long international career, Tamim represented Bangladesh in 391 matches, scoring 15249 runs across formats. Many cricketers, including Yuvraj Singh and Lasith Malinga, wished him speedy recovery on social media platform X ( formerly Twitter) after they came to know about the unfortunate incident.
