In the ongoing IPL 2025 match between Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the fans are on their seat as the game is all set up for a mouth-watering clash. Punjab, batting first, put 243 runs on the board, asking Gujarat to chase down their highest total in the history of IPL.
It is worth noting that Gujarat's highest successful run-chase in IPL is 198 against RCB. Thus, the Titans need to score their highest-ever second innings total on the board. Nonetheless, Gujarat did just what the doctor ordered and got off to the best possible start.

After the 61-run opening stand, Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler stitched an 84-run stand for the 3rd wicket. Talking about Sudharsan, the southpaw scored 74 (41), which featured five fours and six sixes. The Kings had a chance to restrict Sudharsan to a lower total, but Shreyas Iyer dropped a catch.
Glenn Maxwell nearly got his second wicket when Sudharsan failed to clear the cover and all Iyer required to time his jump and take the catch. However, the ball went through his hand and the PBKS captain was furious with his effort.
He further apologised to Maxwell for the squandered opportunity. Eventually, Arshdeep Singh got rid of Sudharsan. Talking about the match, at the time of writing this article, GT are 171/2 and require 73 to win off 34 balls.
