As the cricket world is experiencing some thrilling T20 thrills, Zimbabwe registered a thrilling win over Bangladesh in the first Test match of the two-match Test series. Showcasing their spirit till the end, the Zimbabwe side registered the thrilling win.

As the second Test match nears, Bangladesh is hungry for a win, and the visitors are eyeing a clean sweep. Before stepping into the clash, Zimbabwe batter Ben Curran urged his teammates to focus and build on their thrilling momentum.

Urges Team To Focus On The Next Clash

As the red ball thrills entered Bangladeshi soil, fans enjoyed a classic action between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. With an exceptional bowling effort, Zimbabwe restricted the hosts to just 191 runs. While batting in the first innings, the batters showcased their brilliance and continued their domination throughout the match, and registered a thrilling 3-wicket win.

As the second Test match is all set to commence soon, Zimbabwe’s opening batter Ben Curran urged focus from his teammates. With Bangladesh eager to bounce back after their first-match defeat, he believes Zimbabwe must carry their momentum into the next clash.

“We are expecting Bangladesh to come really hard at us. We are not expecting this to be an easy game. We have to work hard for every moment. We can hopefully put in a similar performance to last game,” Curran said.

On The Last Victory And Upcoming Challenges

With this victory, the Zimbabwe side registered their first Test win since 2021. Brian Bennett’s twin half-centuries and Blessing Muzarabani’s outstanding bowling spells in both innings eased Zimbabwe’s way to secure the victory. Reflecting on the achievement, Ben Curran opened up about his thoughts.

“It is a great feeling, having put in a lot of hard work leading into the series. Obviously, the series is not done. There's a big game to come in the next few days,” he said.

As they had already marked the victory in the Sylhet Test, the second Test match is set to unfold in Chattogram. As the condition will be different, Curran is eager to adapt quickly and keep the winning momentum alive.

“Winning Tests always gives guys confidence. Everyone is going to take different learning from the win in Sylhet. As long as we are prepared to move forward as individuals, we are in a good place,” he said.

The Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium is all set to host the thrilling second Test on April 28. As the teams are gearing up for a fierce face-off, fans are waiting to enjoy some thrilling red ball action.
