Indian batting legend Virat Kohli and his wife, prominent Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma have seemingly shifted their base from India to London. The power couple frequently share social media updates of their stay in the English capital, prompting fans and followers to speculate about their relocation and the reasons behind their preference for a quieter, more private life abroad.

Quite recently, Dr. Sriram Nene, husband of Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, revealed as to why both Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are thinking about permanently relocating to London.

Madhuri Dixit’s husband confirms Kohli’s London relocation

Dr. Sriram Nene, who runs a health and wellness YouTube channel, recently confirmed about Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s intentions of shifting to London while interacting with Ranveer Allahbadia. Dr. Nene stated that he once had a conversation with Anushka, where the latter pretty much confirmed that the rumors of their relocating to London were true.

Dr. Sriram Nene said that both Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma want to enjoy a quieter life in London, considering their presence in India attracts too much attention from fans. He said:

“They were thinking about moving to London because they can’t enjoy their success here. We appreciate what they go through because anything they do attracts attention. They just want to raise their kids normally.”

Earlier, Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma also confirmed that the cricketer will soon be moving away from India to relocate to London.

Both Virat and Anushka married each other back in 2017 in a lavish ceremony in Italy. The couple also welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika, in January 2021. They welcomed their second child, son Akaay, back in February 2024 last year.

As of now, Virat Kohli is part of the RCB franchise in the ongoing IPL 2025 season. The legendary Indian batter recently starred in his team’s 2025 ICC Champions Trophy win in the UAE.
