One of the best batters in the current era, Pakistan Babar Azam's contest with India's ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah was highly anticipated during the two teams' Super 4 clash in Asia Cup 2023 on Monday.

Azam enjoyed dominance over Bumrah the last time these two opponents faced off in the T20 World Cup 2021, where the former came out on top.

As pre-innings, buildup official broadcasters Star Sports held a poll during the mid-inning breaks regarding Azam and Bumrah, which irked former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram.

The poll ended with results showcasing how Bumrah had an overwhelming lead over Azam, which the Akram felt was 'made-up'.

Here's what Akram said

"You guys are making these stats up. What? Babar is the No. 1 batter in the world. I mean, come on guys. Give him a little appreciation. Make it 3 percent at least. It will be a great battle. One of the top bowlers in world cricket against the No. 1 batter in the world, who apparently has just 2 percent chance against him,"

However, the results of the poll turned out to be true as Bumrah had Azam dancing to his tunes during Pakistan's chase. In 13 balls, Azam managed just four runs against Bumrah.

The Indian pacer will next be seen in action today, when they facer Sri Lanka, while Azam will have a break for two days, and face the same opponents on September 14.
