The ongoing Asia Cup 2023 has been hectic for players, with constant rain breaks, forcing cricketers to switch on and off quite regularly. The most concerned is Team India, who will play another One-Day International (ODI) against Sri Lanka today after being in the field for two days.
The India-Pakistan encounter shifted into a reserve day after regulation day was called off due to rain on Sunday after 24.1 overs. Former captain Virat Kohli, who starred for India, slammed a memorable 122* against Pakistan in Colombo, which included nine fours and three sixes.
Speaking about playing back-to-back matches, the 34-year-old explained how the batter identified about playing Sri Lanka on Tuesday and looked to score runs in the middle.

"I was pushing for those runs and happy for it, but I was thinking I need to play at 3 pm tomorrow. Luckily, we are Test players, I've played over a 100 Tests so I know how to come back and play the next day. It was really humid out there, I'm 35 in November so I need to be taking care of that recovery as well. I was going to ask you to keep the interview short, I'm very tired,"
Testament to Kohli's fitness shines through when one notices that out of 122 runs, the batter scored 68 runs from 38 singles and 15 doubles.
