Yashasvi Jaiswal has been rated very highly since his junior days, and with an outstanding performance against England, he has now grown massively in stature as an international cricketer. He scored 712 runs in 9 innings and slammed two double centuries with a stunning average of 89.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was awarded 'Player of the Series' award for his exploits and he has now sealed down the opening position in Test cricket. Yashasvi expressed his joy after winning the award and said that he really enjoyed his time in the series against England and has gained a lot of experience.

The left-handed batter added that his mindset while batting was to take one match at a time and just play his natural game. He also reflected on his hat-trick of sixes against James Anderson and stated that he wanted to take down England legend.

He mentioned that he just wanted to contribute to the team's success and his aim has always been team oriented rather that focussing on his individual milestones.

"I really enjoyed it. It gives a lot of experience and enjoyed my time out there. I was just thinking to play my shots and wanted to take him down and that was my aim. Nothing more. Playing one match at a time and enjoy my game out there. I want to contribute to the team's goals and purpose and hope to do well at the moment. My aims are basically team oriented and not necessary as an individual."

The Test series is done and now all focus shifts to the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) where Yashasvi Jaiswal will represent Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals.
