Experienced Bangladesh cricketer Litton Das grabbed the limelight on Saturday as he accounted for a sensational runout dismissal of prominent Sri Lankan allrounder Dasun Shanaka in the ongoing third T20I in Sylhet. 

The incident occurred in the final over of the Sri Lankan innings when Dasun Shanaka and Sadeera Samarawickrama were trying to ensure a fitting finish for them. 

The over started emphatically for the visitors, with the unbeaten batters scoring 13 runs off the first five deliveries. However, on the last ball, Shanaka was dismissed, scoring a quick-fire nine-ball 19, courtesy of an acrobatic effort from Litton Das. 

It was a back-of-the-length delivery from Mustafizur Rahman, as Shanaka muscled it aerially in the leg side. Although the ball fell in no man's land, Rishad Hossain threw it to the striker's end immediately after picking it up. 

Despite receiving a wide throw, Litton Das executed a sensational runout dismissal, replicating MS Dhoni's famous antics of hitting the stumps without looking at them. 

He hit the bull's eye, and the third umpire declared Shanaka out after finding him way short of the crease. 

In response to Sri Lanka's 174-run total, Bangladesh were rocked by Nuwan Thushara's hattrick, reeling at 38 for six in 9.2 overs as of writing.
