Leg spinner Kuldeep Yadav was awarded man of the match for his magnificent fifer, which dropped the Englishmen to their knees in the first innings of the Dharamsala Test. He credited his hard work for his epic resurgence in the series.

India crushed England in Dharamsala to seal the five-game Test series by 4-1. In a clinical performance, Kuldeep Yadav and Ashwin bagged fifers in different innings, whilst Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill hammered a century each.

Eventually, the 250+ run lead proved to be too good, as England lost the series final by an innings and 64 runs.

That being said, while the choice of player of the match was tough, Kuldeep Yadav was eventually awarded with the accolade for his fifer in the first innings. Notably, Kuldeep removed England's five of the top six batters and single-handedly owned the visitors.

Meanwhile, during the post-game chat, the leg spinner reckoned his performance in this series as his best version. He believed his hard work behind the scenes was finally bearing fruit.

"I think this is the best of me. I have done hard work for years and this is the reward I am getting," Kuldeep said during post-game interview.

Furthermore, while ranking his wickets, Yadav said that Zak Crawley's dismissal was a beautiful ball that exceeded his expectations. However, personally, he enjoyed giving an exit pass to English skipper Ben Stokes.

"I think I bowled well in Ranchi. I will choose it as my best spell. It was slow and a bit challenging one to bowl. The way I used the drift over there (Racnhi) was fantastic. I loved Ben Stokes' wicket, but I will take Zak Crawley's one for the way of dismissal; that was a beautiful ball," he added.

He also credited India's batting coach for his improved skills with the willow. The coach's backing and valuable inputs in net sessions helped him advance into an all-round role.

"Credit goes to the batting coach. He helped me a lot, not just in the skill aspect but also in the mental aspect. He always supported me in the net sessions," Kuldeep concluded.

Kuldeep finishes a successful series with 19 wickets and a 20.16 average. Up next, he will represent Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2024.
