Yashasvi Jaiswal stood jubilant to have contributed with a maiden double century in India's comeback win in the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam. As Team India scripted a valiant 107-run victory to level the five-match series 1-1, their first-innings marathon spoke of "one of the best moments" of his young career.

Speaking to broadcasters JioCinema after India secured a magnificent win over their rampaging 'Bazball' rivals, Jaiswal opened up his heart and said to almost singlehandedly guide India close to the 400 mark will remain a memory he savours for time to come.

Jaiswal showed excellent defensive technique and great resolve in producing 209 off 290 deliveries, allowing India to post a daunting 398 even as the rest got starts but fell away with the intention to break free at the crease amidst pragmatic England field settings.

Jaiswal Opens Up On Epic Double After Vizag Win

Jaiswal, who has also been an explosive opening batter for India in T20Is, also talked of the difference in experience playing against the red and the white ball and also lauded ace speedster and 'Player of the Match' Jasprit Bumrah after his figures of 6 for 45 and 3 for 46 drove India towards a special win.

"Wonderful feeling, really enjoyed the game. One of the best moments to win a game for your country. We were just focusing on our process, focused on our fielding and I think it went well. (On pitch) There was a bit of crack and there was some seam movement, so it was a bit hard to play in the fourth innings," Jaiswal said at the post-match interaction.

"It is very different (Difference in white ball and red ball), in these games I try to play till the end and in white game I go for it from the first ball and have an intent to score."

"The way Bumrah bowled was incredible, it was coming too fast at the slip cordon too. (On second innings batting) My intent was the same, I wanted to play out the new ball and build my innings," he added.

Jaiswal's record-breaking double ton was his second century for India in just six Test after making a debut hundred against the West Indies last July and elevated his average to 57.90 with 637 runs for India.
