[Watch] When Arshdeep Demolished Stumps Twice Inside An Over To Haunt MI In IPL 2023

Amidst the doom and gloom endured by Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) over the years, one of their solitary bright spots has been left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh. Playing for the perennially losing outfit, the Punjab swing bowler has emerged as a hero in adversity for his team.

The tall seamer has now played 51 IPL games for the Punjab franchise while taking 57 wickets at an economy rate of 8.14. Arshdeep has been the go-to man for Shikhar Dhawan and company with his ability to swing the new-ball and deliver pinpoint yorkers in the death-over phase.

One of Arshdeep's best nights in PBKS colours came during the IPL 2023 league stage when five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) hosted their Punjab counterparts at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, with the 25-year-old taking 4 for 29 in his team's rare win over their great rivals.

When Arshdeep Disturbed The Timber At Wankhede

With Punjab defending a massive target of 215, Arshdeep delivered a pair of early body blows to MI's quest by dismissing their key Indian men Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav. However, it would've been even more satisfying for the bowler to see what he did when he came back with the old ball.

Arshdeep destroyed the stumps twice inside an over when he bowled to MI's lower middle-order batters Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera with the ball crashed into the three sticks on each occasion off the yorker.

First to be dismissed off Arshdeep's trademark yorker was Varma as he attempted a six towards the mid-wicket region with the asking rate piling on. But missed it completely before the ball broke the middle stump.

Wadhera was out in the exact same fashion as he got yorked by the Punjab match-winner and the bowl then hammered into the base of the middle-stump and broken it two pieces.
