In the latest video that is going viral, India's star ace bowler, Jasprit Bumrah made a public appearance after being invited to a college function in Chennai, where he was given a hero's welcome.

In that event, Bumrah was asked a few questions and one such question that stood out was when the host asked which batters he finds the toughest to bowl to. To this, he gave a thoughtful and confident response.

He emphasised the importance of maintaining a strong mental approach, and further, he added that he doesn't allow any batter to dominate his thoughts.

"I want to give a good answer. The real factor is I don't want anyone to take over me in my head. I respect everyone, but in my head I tell myself that if I do my job well that there is nobody in the world that can stop me. I look at myself rather than the opponent. I have control over everything and If I give myself the best opportunity, everything else will take care of itself," Bumrah said at the event.

He also added that he believes that one should focus on his abilities and that doing his job well is key to success on the field. This smart statement at a college function has garnered a lot of attention.

When Will Jasprit Bumrah Next Play For India?

Star Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is currently on a long break after helping India win the 2024 T20 World CupHe was rested for the tours of Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka to ensure he remained in peak condition. His break has been further extended, as he will not be participating in the 2024 Duleep Trophy.

The decision to manage his workload is strategic, with the focus on having him fresh and fully fit for the highly anticipated Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) later in the year.

However, Bumrah is expected to return to action during parts of the home series against Bangladesh and New Zealand, where his presence will be vital as India gears up for the challenges ahead.
