The chase continued on the right track for them even after the fall of the first wicket. But with the departure of Evin Lewis things started to fall apart for them.

Some quick wickets, failure to up the ante and great bowling by Springer, put the Patriots on the back foot. However, Kyle Mayers held one end and kept on fighting and the game went to the last over. The Patriots needed seven runs off the last six balls and the responsibility was given to Roshon Primus. Though the Patriots lost a couple of wickets, but in the end they managed to achieve their target off the last delivery with one wicket remaining.
