Fakhar Zaman played a magnificent cameo that got the Falcons back on track after the early wicket in the ongoing CPL 2024 match between Antigua & Barbuda Falcons and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.

After the early dismissal of Teddy Bishop, Zaman's counter-attack not just brought the Falcons back into the game, but added extra pressure on the Patriots' bowlers. 

His innings not only stabilised the Falcons but also gave them the momentum they needed.  However, he fell just short of what would have been a well-deserved half-century.

Fakhar Zaman Misses Out On A Well-Deserved Half-Century 

In the 10th over, Tabraiz Shamsi, known for his clever variations, outsmarted Zaman with a well-disguised delivery. The slower, tossed-up ball spun away from the Pakistani batter, who attempted a slog sweep across the line. 

Unfortunately, he lost control and got a top edge that flew to deep mid-wicket, where Evin Lewis made no mistake with the catch. 

This wicket was crucial for the Patriots as he was looking dangerous and could have taken the game away from them. 

Shamsi's breakthrough was exactly what the Patriots needed to halt the Falcons' progress, and his celebration showed how important this wicket was for his team. At the time of writing Antigua & Barbuda Falcons are 134/4 in 17 overs.
