'I Lost My...,' Harry Brook Reveals Reason To Opt Out Of IPL 2024 In An Emotional Post

Delhi Capitals were handed a heavy blow on Wednesday, 13th of March when Harry Brook decided to opt out of IPL 2024 due to personal reasons. The Englishman recently also missed five-Test match series against India due to the same reason and now Brook himself has come forward and revealed the reason behind his absence from cricket in the last few months.
Brook in an emotional post on X disclosed that he lost his grandmother in February who was very close to him and it has affected him a lot. He added that he left England's squad before the India series because he was informed that she is severely ill. Now, that he has lost his grandmother, the young batter wants to spend some time with his family and that has forced him to take a difficult decision of leaving IPL.

The charismatic batter also revealed that his grandmother and grandfather have shaped his attitude to life and love for cricket and nothing is important to him than his family. However, Brook vowed to comeback with a bang and he would most likely play for England in the T20 World Cup after IPL.
