BAN vs SL 1st ODI: Towhid Hridoy falls to a peach of a delivery by Pramod Madushan
The magic unfolded on the second delivery of the sixth over. Chasing a modest target, the hosts found themselves in a spot of bother, and Pramod Madushan's delivery only deepened their woes. Bowling a delivery that veered into the corridor of uncertainty, Madushan managed to make the ball skid upon landing before it seamed inwards, outfoxing Hridoy completely.
The batsman, caught on the back foot and too late to bring his bat down, could only watch in dismay as the ball clipped the top of the off stump, sending it on a solitary march across the pitch.

This moment of brilliance threw Bangladesh's chase into turmoil, reducing them to a dismal 23/3. The early dismissals of openers Litton Das and Soumya Sarkar, both falling prey to Dilshan Madushanka for 0 and 3, had already set the stage for a challenging innings. Towhid Hridoy's departure added salt to the wound, leaving Bangladesh in desperate need of a steadying partnership.
In the aftermath of the chaos unleashed by Sri Lanka's bowlers, Bangladesh's captain, Najmul Shanto, and the experienced Mushfiqur Rahim took it upon themselves to rebuild the innings. Demonstrating great spirit, the duo managed to steady the ship with a 67-run stand, breathing life into Bangladesh's chase.
With Shanto leading the charge with an impressive 68* and Rahim providing solid support with 32*, Bangladesh has fought its way to 159 for 4 after 28 overs, leaving them with 96 runs to be scored in the remaining 22 overs.
