The Ranji Trophy final is turning out be quite an interesting affair with Vidarbha fighting it out on Day 4 after Mumbai plundered 418 in the second innings. Vidarbha were bowled out 105 in the first innings and it was expected that they will be blown away in the second innings as well. However, Karun Nair and Akshay Wadkar stood tall and have taken the game to the final day.

Karun Nair departed on 74 but Wadkar is unbeaten at Stumps on Day 4 and is batting on 56 off 91 balls. He has hit six fours and a six in his knock and has led from the front. The six he hit took him to the eighth half-century of the season and with 290 runs needed to win on the final day, Wadkar would be hoping to continue his exploits on the final day as well.

Talking about the six against Tushar Deshpande, it was a short delivery, outside off from 'round the wicket. Wadkar waited for it and played a stunning upper cut as the ball sailed away into the crowd over third man.

Mumbai though are still in a pole position after their brilliant batting performance in the second innings and it would be a big surprise if they don't end up winning the final with just five wickets to take.
