Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant shared his thoughts on the controversial post-match incident involving KL Rahul and  Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka during IPL 2024.

After the LSG lost an important game to the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2024, an incident occurred that sparked a lot of attention.

Following Hyderabad's record 10-wicket victory over LSG, heated exchange between LSG captain KL Rahul and team owner Sanjiv Goenka was caught on camera after the match.

The confrontation involved sharp words and gestures, leading to widespread speculation and debate among fans and commentators. Even though the captain-owner duo of LSG solved the issue over a dinner, this issue is still in discussion as it looked very bad for the league.

Rishabh Pant's take on the issue

Rishabh Pant, who is having a great time at the T20 World Cup 2024, commented on the issue. According to Pant, such incidents occur in most franchises when a team lose.

The Delhi skipper mentioned that he isn't sure what exactly happened in this particular situation but admitted that he, too, often receives criticism and deals with it in his own way.

"I actually didn't understand what happened in that situation. It seemed so by looking at it, and although I'm not sure what happened, there was something there. When you lose a match, there are obviously a lot of conversations. But the way it was portrayed, I'm not sure. I didn't see the video in real-time; otherwise, I would have given you an answer. I get scolded every day, but I'm also stubborn" Pant said on an episode of 'Aap ki Adalat' on India TV.

Nevertheless, KL Rahul was not selected for India's T20 World Cup squad. Instead, Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson were chosen. While Samson has yet to play, Pant has been in fantastic form so far.
