Star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant recently provided a peek into the camaraderie between players in an interview on famed comedian Tanmay Bhat's YouTube channel.

During the light-hearted conversation, Pant touched on the unique communication style of India’s captain, Rohit Sharma. Known for his Mumbai-style vernacular, Rohit's off-field messages sometimes puzzle Pant.

Rishabh Pant Shares Insights On Rohit's Unique Communication Style

In  Tanmay Bhat's YouTube channel, Rishabh Pant admitted, humorously accepted how Rohit's informal language leaves him occasionally lost.

"I understand what he is saying on the ground. However, I don't understand much when it comes to off the field."

In the same interview, Pant also recalled a humorous moment that involved Virat Kohli during the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

He reflected on an incident where he attempted to distract Kohli from behind the sight screen despite being banned from playing in the match due to a slow over-rate offence.

"It was one of the most important matches of the season for us and we needed to perform well. I couldn't play that match and was thinking what could I do from the outside," he added.

In the match, RCB went on to defeat Delhi Capitals by 47 runs, a result that ultimately led to DC’s disqualification from the tournament.

Rishabh Pant To Make Test Comeback In Bangladesh Series

In a significant development, the BCCI, announced the Indian squad for the first Test against Bangladesh, with Rishabh Pant making a highly anticipated return to the Test side.

This will be his first Test appearance since his horrific car accident in December 2022, which sidelined him from international cricket for over a year. Interestingly, his last Test match was also against Bangladesh, just days before the life-altering accident.

Pant’s selection follows a brilliant performance in the Duleep Trophy, where he shone for India B against India A.

Alongside his comeback, fast bowler Yash Dayal earned his maiden Test call-up, while Shreyas Iyer and Ruturaj Gaikwad were notably absent from the squad.
