Rishabh Pant has always been known for his quick wit, both on and off the cricket field. Whether he is making spectacular plays behind the wickets or engaging in light-hearted banter with his teammates, Pant’s entertaining personality never fails to amuse fans. 

Recently, during the Duleep Trophy 2024, his interactions with Kuldeep Yadav became an instant hit, proving once again why Pant is adored by the cricketing world.

Rishabh Pant Joins Shubman Gill's Team Huddle 

On Day 4 of the first match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Pant was in his usual playful form. As the India A team, led by Shubman Gill, gathered for a team huddle, Pant, ever the mischief-maker, couldn’t resist joining in to tease his India A teammates.

In the final stages of the match, with Kuldeep trying to save the game for India A, Pant turned up the heat from behind the stumps. He urged his fielders to close in, making sure Kuldeep couldn't take a single. “Kha le maa kasam nhi lega” [ Asking Kuldeep to swear on his mother].

Always quick with a retort, Kuldeep playfully responded, “Maa kasam, nahi loonga” (I swear on my mother, I won’t take a single). Pant, never missing a beat, kept the pressure on with more playful banter.


India B beat India A by 76 runs

Despite the light-hearted nature of the banter, the game was fiercely competitive. India B, led by Abhimanyu Easwaran, emerged victorious against India A, winning by 76 runs. Pant's quick-fire knock of 61 off 47 balls in the second innings played a crucial role in the team’s success. 

However, it was Musheer Khan’s stunning 181 on his debut for India B that stole the show. Akash Deep's exceptional bowling, with a match haul of 9 wickets, also stood out despite India A's valiant efforts.
