MS Dhoni's enduring presence in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL), despite the persistent speculations about his retirement, is evidence of his remarkable skills and fitness. 

CSK and Dhoni himself have remained tight-lipped about his plans, keeping fans in a state of eager anticipation. The former CSK skipper played the entire season of the IPL 2024 with muscle tear and back pain due to a lack of backup options in the squad due to injury woes in the camp. 


Mohammad Kaif Opines On MS Dhoni And His Form In IPL 2024 

Talking to PTI Videos, Mohammad Kaif claimed and believes that MS Dhoni should continue playing in the IPL, citing his form, fitness, and ability to hit big shots effortlessly. 

Despite speculation about Dhoni's potential retirement, especially after playing for CSK to their fifth IPL title. He also feels there is no reason for him to stop and retire. 

"Personally, I don't think he's done, he could not win the game (last league match against RCB). In the last over after hitting a six, he got out. You could make out seeing his body language that he seemed very disappointed not winning the game for CSK," Mohammad Kaif told PTI Videos. 


"Why he should not come back? He is fit, he is scoring runs and hitting sixes, and there's no reason to stop playing... it's up to him, we can't say with Dhoni what's his plan," added Kaif.

Dhoni, who had knee surgery last year, showed impressive performance this season, scoring 161 runs in 73 balls with a strike rate of 220.55, and also performed well as a wicketkeeper. 

The former Indian player also stated that he is confident that Dhoni still has much to offer in the game.
