Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra praised Hardik Pandya for his remarkable comeback in the T20 World Cup.

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has made a sensational comeback after a difficult period in cricket. Starting from the ODI World Cup 2023, Hardik was injured and missed several games after playing a couple of group matches.

Upon returning from injury, he joined Mumbai Indians in a controversial transfer from Gujarat Titans, replacing Rohit Sharma as captain a move not welcomed by fans. Hardik was constantly booed and bullied at the Wankhede Stadium, MI's home ground.

Under Hardik's leadership, Mumbai Indians performed poorly, finishing last in the table, and Hardik's batting and bowling were average in the IPL. Amidst career struggles, news emerged that Hardik and his wife Natasa were separating.

Despite these challenges, Hardik Pandya decided to fight back at the T20 World Cup. He took 2 wickets against Pakistan in India's historic win.

Aakash Chopra praised Hardik for winning back the hearts of fans with his impressive performances.

“People booed him so much, and how life changes. I saw the whole crowd shouting ‘Hardik, Hardik’ and a lot of love for him. Cricket is a great leveler. If you perform well, people who were abusing you will also praise you. They will pray for your success,” said Chopra on his YouTube channel.

If Hardik Pandya continues his current form and replicates Yuvraj Singh's performances from the T20 World Cup 2007 and the 2011 ODI World Cup, his career arc will be remarkable. 

This could lead to India finally securing an ICC title, a feat they haven't achieved since the 2011 ODI World Cup.
