In the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 match between Pakistan and Canada at Nassau County Stadium on June 11, Pakistan's opener Saim Ayub departed cheaply as Dillon Heyliger struck in the 5th over.
Canada set a modest target of 107 after Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first.
During Pakistan's innings, Heyliger bowled his first over in the 5th over and removed Saim Ayub, who had replaced Iftikhar Ahmed. This was Canada's first wicket of the day, thanks to wicket-keeper Shreyas Movva, who grabbed a brilliant catch to send Ayub back early.
Heyliger delivered a good-length ball outside the off stump. Ayub walked across and swung wildly across the line, trying to hoick the ball. He edged it low to the right of the keeper. Movva, wrong-footed, dived to his right and made an excellent catch.

Ayub's inclusion in the XI didn't pay off, and his attempt at a wild stroke wasn't suited for the pitch at Nassau County.
This early breakthrough gave Canada a boost as they aimed to defend their low total against the Men in Green. At the time of writing, Pakistan are at 28 for 1 in 6 overs, with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan at the crease.
