In a do-or-die game for Pakistan, the Men in Green restricted Canada to 106/7 after twenty overs courtesy of brilliant spells from Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah. 

Pakistan have lost both games in this T20 World Cup and started the chase on a bad note against Canada as their decision to play Saim Ayub backfired as the left-hand batter departed for just 6(12). 

Fearing a similar collapse as India, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam approached the game safely in the powerplay without playing any risky shots. Notably, till the 9th over, Pakistan only scored two boundaries from the bat and that too came from Rizwan.

Meanwhile, Babar also took the onus to finish the game early to improve the net-run rate as he, in a rare occurrence, danced down the pitch on the first ball of the 10th over and smashed Junaid Siddiqui for a six straight down the ground. 

The six from Babar brought awakened the crowd that went silent for a long period because of lack of boundaries in the match. Suddenly, there were 'Babar-Babar' chants across the stadium.

At the time of writing this article, Pakistan are in control and put 93/2 after 15.2 overs, needing just 14 runs to register their first win of the tournament.
