Suryakumar Yadav is not just one of the top batsmen in the T20I without reason his knock against Afghanistan in the 43rd Match in Super 8 proved his worth and ability.

Suryakumar's flamboyant knock of 53 runs off 28 balls, alongside significant contributions from Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya, took India to 180 in 20 overs, a total that proved to be an uphill task for Afghanistan.

When Suryakumar Yadav entered the crease, India had just lost the wicket of Virat Kohli, as it was important for the dynamic batter to build up a solid partnership and maintain the momentum.

As expected from him he constructed a solid partnership with Hardik Pandya to score a sub-par 180 in the allotted 20 overs. And later on India won the match by 47 runs.

4. Roston Chase Vs South Africa

The third most impactful and stand-out performance of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 was the Roston Chase innings against South Africa in the 50th Match of the Super 8 clash. West Indies got off to a horrendous start after being asked to bat first, as Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran departed early with the score at 5 for 2 in 1.1 overs.

From there on, Roston Chase restored sanity with a partnership of 81 runs off 10.5 overs with Kyle Mayers.

This inning holds much importance because the co-hosts found themselves in a difficult situation and this effective knock helped West Indies to score 135/8.

Sherfane Rutherford's innings against New Zealand was truly exceptional and stands as the second most stand-out performance of the tournament especially in the circumstances West Indies were in early on.

His unbeaten 68 from just 39 balls, including six maximums, not only rescued his team but also recovered the co-hosts from 30-5 in the seventh over at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy to reach a competitive score on a tricky surface.

In what will go down as one of the best knocks of the tournament, the left-hander displayed immense ability to hold down his end and played an commendable innings on a night almost everyone struggled.

His knock was the big difference as West Indies staged a remarkable fightback from 76/7 to post 149/9.

2. Virat Kohli Vs South Africa

Former India skipper Virat Kohli reminded the world and cricket fraternity what he is capable of and why he is referred to as the 'King'. His stellar knock against South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados was well-constructed and much-needed as India struggled with a regular fall of wickets.

Despite a tough tournament, where he had managed just 75 runs in seven games, Kohli rose to the occasion when his team needed him the most.

Kohli began his innings with intent and his aggressive start provided India with the momentum they needed.

After India lost three wickets in quick succession, Kohli played an anchor role. He stabilized the innings and built a crucial 72-run partnership with Axar Patel. His composure under pressure was vital in ensuring India had a foundation to build on.

Rohit Sharma's knock against England in the semi-finals of the 2024 T20 World Cup at the Providence Stadium truly stands out as one of the tournament's top performances. In a high-pressure, must-win scenario, his 57-run innings from 39 balls, featuring 6 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 146.15, was crucial.

His ability to anchor the innings and build a solid partnership with Suryakumar Yadav under pressure was crucial in this match as 'Men in Blue' had lost Virat Kohli at just nine runs and Rishabh Pant at just a mere four runs.

His partnership with Suryakumar was pivotal in setting up the total of 171/7 in a very difficult and sluggish track to bat on.
