Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah and sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan first interacted each other back in 2013-14; i.e., at a time when the paceman was taking his initial steps in mainstream cricket. Around the same time frame, Ganesan was employed at Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise as a host of their special interactive show.

Years down the line, both became further acquainted with each other and their friendship eventually turned into marriage in March 2021 during a private ceremony in Goa.

While their love for each other has only blossomed further since their formal union, Sanjana Ganesan once revealed her “reason” behind marrying Bumrah by making a comment on her own social media post.


When Sanjana Ganesan revealed reason for marriage

Back in April 2021, i.e., just a month after her marriage to Jasprit Bumrah, Sanjana Ganesan shared a stunning picture of herself with a scenic background on social media.

In the replies, Bumrah jokingly praised himself for the click by writing:“The person clicking the picture is really good.”

In response, Sanjana Ganesan expressed her profound love for the cricketer through a heartwarming retort. She wrote:“That’s why I married him.”

Both Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesa welcomed their first child together on September 4, 2023.

On the cricketing front, Bumrah recently powered Team India to an emphatic 106-run win over England at Vizag. He claimed six wickets in the first English innings, and another three on the decisive day to finish with match-haul of 9-91.

Bumrah along with the rest of his Indian teammates will now face England in the third Test of their five-match series at Rajkot. With series tied at 1-1, the much-awaited contest will be staged between February 15 and February 19 at the city’s Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
