The unabashed duo of Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya are renowned characters on and off the field. While fantastic cricketers, the premier Indian wicketkeeper-batter and limited-overs allrounder are known for their funny antics and a great laugh.

The pair once left even the stoic and calm VVS Laxman in absolute splits after showcasing their hilarious dancing skills during the 2022 tour of New Zealand, when Pandya was the stand-in captain and Pant was his deputy.

The incident happened ahead of the second T20I of the series in Mount Maunganui when Pandya and Pant tried to imitate a group of women apparently welcoming the Indian team in the land of Tauranga by dancing to local tunes.

When Pant, Pandya Left Laxman In Splits

In a heartening video shared over his YouTube channel by veteran journalist Vimal Kumar, the duo is seen creating hysteria and generating great laughs for those present, including stand-in coach Laxman, who had been asked to head the support staff in the absence of Rahul Dravid.

As he saw Pant and Pandya indulge in some funny dance steps in their unsuccessful attempt to mimic the graceful dance group, Laxman erupted in a wide smirk and laughter before Ishan Kishan joined the captain-vice captain duo in the hilarious act.

The limited-overs trip to New Zealand played just after the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia was heavily interrupted by rains, with a result possible in only one game apiece during the three-match T20I and ODI series spanning November 18–30.

With weather playing spoilsport, captain Pandya and his men had plenty of time to spend with each other off the field and enhance their bonds after facing the disappointment of a loss in the T20 World Cup semifinal in Adelaide versus England.
