The hype around Australia's unbreachable fortress named Gabba gained fame after no team managed to claim a victory in Brisbane for 32 years.

With no star names and a completely young and inexperienced side, India took the field against an in-form Australia in the fourth and final Test at Brisbane, which was already in the news courtesy of Tim Paine and Ravichandran Ashwin's banter in the preceding encounter.

With a depleted bowling attack, India managed to restrict Australia to 336 and 294, which meant the visitors needed to chase a mammoth 328 to win the series and achieve the unthinkable.

On the final day (January 19) of the Test, India needed 324 to win, where the likes of Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, and Washington Sundar rose to the occasion and helped their side attain one of their most memorable overseas wins.

After Rohit Sharma's departure early on, Gill along with Cheteshwar Pujara added 114 runs stand, where the former scored the most runs, while the latter copped up with body blows and showcased immense grit and determination.

Gill fell for 91, with India still 197 runs away and eight wickets in hand. Ajinkya Rahane played a short cameo, following which Pant came out and joined Pujara, where the duo added 61 runs.

After Pujara's wicket fell, Pant took the lead and started milking bowlers of runs, with others contributing as well.

Hero from India's first innings, Washington Sundar played a quick-fire 22-run knock, which ensured the match never got away with the end of play closing.

After Pant's stand with Sundar came to an end, the platform was laid for the wicketkeeper-batter to excel, and bring India a famous victory, which the former did scoring a magnificent 89* and helping Rahane and Co. win the Test and breach Gabba.
