The past few months have been challenging for Chennai Super Kings' pacer, Deepak Chahar, who has been battling injuries and missed the initial stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

However, he made an astounding comeback, leaving an immediate impact by picking up 12 wickets in nine innings and boasting an economy rate of 8.63.

Even in the last qualifier match against the Gujarat Titans, he proved his mettle by snaring two crucial wickets, while maintaining an exceptional economy rate of just 7.25 runs per over across his entire four-over spell.

In the same match, Chahar took an incredible catch by covering a considerable distance from mid-on to dismiss Mohammed Shami, the final wicket of the Gujarat Titans.

However, as the pacer completed the catch, he appeared to be in discomfort and the CSK bowling mentor Dwayne Bravo and other teammates quickly rushed onto the field to assess any potential injury concerns.

After witnessing this scene, the Chennai fans appeared concerned and were eager to receive an update on Chahar's condition, fearing that their star pacer might have sustained an injury while completing a catch.

Later, Deepak Chahar himself clarified in the post-match conference that he is doing well and hasn't suffered any injury. Here’s what the CSK pacer said:

"Everything's okay, one more to go."

Apart from Chahar, the likes of Matheesha Pathirana (2/37) Ravindra Jadeja (2/18), and Maheesh Theekshana (2/28) also picked up two wickets each as CSK decimated Gujarat Titans by 15 runs to secure a place in the final of the tournament.

Chennai Super Kings will now face off against the winner of the second qualifier, set to take place between Gujarat Titans, and the winner of the eliminator match between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on May 28.
