Nehal Wadhera is one of the brightest young talents to emerge in the IPL 2023. He batted lower down the order in his first few games but when he got the opportunity to bat a bit up in the order, he has grabbed it with both hands. He has smashed two fifties in a row now and played a big role in MI's record chase against RCB.

He had a 140-run partnership with Suryakumar Yadav for third wicket and scored an unbeaten 52 as SKY smashed 83 at the other end. Talking after the match, Nehal Wadher shared his experience of batting with Suryakumar Yadav. He said that it is to fun to bat with SKY and he tries to replicate some of the shots played by him but reckoned that it hard to execute.

Nehal added that SKY told him that if they can both keep going they can win the game early and added that he played a scoop shot in the game against CSK which he learnt from SKY.

"Yeah, batting with Surya bhai (Suryakumar Yadav) is so much fun. I tried to copy some of his shots but cannot replicate them because those are very difficult to execute. Surya bhai is a great partner to bat with. He just said to me that if we both keep going we can pull this off way too early. I tried to play the scoop in my previous game against Chennai Super Kings. These are the ones which I am not used to playing earlier in my career. I have learnt these from Surya bhai."

MI have moved to the third spot after this win against RCB and will now play their next game against table-toppers Gujarat Titans on 12th of May at the Wankhede Stadium again.
