Big Player Out of 2nd ODI Against West Indies After Suffering Finger Injury

With South Africa and West Indies engaging in a three-match ODI, the hosts are fighting to take advantage in the second game of the series. This is due to the fact that the first ODI got completely washed out to rain and just one more game is left.

However, before the start of the game Cricket South Africa (CSA) that their star batter Reeza Hendricks has been ruled out of this game after suffering an injury on his right finger.

It was revealed that he suffered a laceration during the practice session that was conducted a day before the game.

The statement from Cricket South Africa (CSA) read,

"Reeza Hendricks sustained a laceration of his right ring finger during training yesterday and has been ruled out of the match."

However, his availability for the third and final game is still unconfirmed.

Moreover, Ryan Rickelton and Tony de Zorzi are the new additions to the setup for this game as both of them debuted in this match.

Hendricks last played the ODI against England that happened on 1st February where he managed to score 52 for his side but to an unfruitful conclusion.

Coming to this match, South Africa have fielded four debutants for this game against the Caribbean side. At the time of publishing, West Indies are 167 for four after the end of 26 overs.
