The Hundred Women's franchise London Spirit have announced Ashley Noffke as their new head coach for the upcoming 2023 edition. Noffke replaces outing-going coach Trevor Griffin.

Noffke, a former Australian all-rounder, is a well-known name in coaching circles, having won the Women's Big Bash League (BBL) and Women's National Cricket League (WNCL) titles with the Brisbane Heat and Queensland Fire, respectively.

The 45-year-old played one ODI and two T20Is for Australia between 2007-08.

In a statement, the former Australian all-rounder sounded pleased to be back at the Lord's.

"I am delighted to be appointed as head coach of the London Spirit Women's team. I have been attracted by the explosive nature of the competition and look forward to helping ensure that the Spirit are challenging for the trophy at the end of August,

"Lord's is a very special place for me, having played for Middlesex for two seasons in 2002 and 2003, and I can't wait to get back to the Home of Cricket next summer."

As far as the men's team are concerned, the club confirmed that Trevor Bayliss will return as coach in the upcoming edition, after taking the Spirit's to the eliminator this year.
