Cricket West Indies (CWI) have formed a three-man panel to examine their T20I side's disastrous ICC T20 World Cup 2022 campaign. Led by Nicholas Pooran, the former two-time T20 champion lost to Scotland and Ireland to get knocked out of the global tournament in Round 1.

The board has included former West Indies legend Brian Lara, well-known international coach Mickey Arthur and Justice Partick Thompson Jr., an HC judge at the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in their independent panel.

Arthur's credentials include coaching teams like Australia, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Justice Thompson will head the three-member panel.

In a statement, CWI President Ricky Skerritt sounded confident about the investigation finding long-time solutions and not just short-term ones.

"Emotion-based and knee-jerk type decisions have failed CWI repeatedly in the past. I am confident that this independent World Cup review process will produce findings and learnings that should be of great benefit to our cricket system going forward."

The West Indies team is currently playing a three-day warm-up match against NSW/ACT at Canberra in preparation for their 2-Test series against hosts commencing November 30.
