Veteran Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has reckoned that Haider Ali needs to be positive with his intent and play his natural game to regain his form.

The middle-order batter Haider has been enduring a slump in form in 2022. In 11 innings, the 22-year-old has garnered only 93 runs at a dismal average of 9.30.

In the T20 World Cup 2022, Haider could contribute only 2 and 0 against India and Zimbabwe respectively, which put pressure on the other batters. After these two knocks, he was dropped from the squad.

The Men in Green made a major turnaround to win the remaining three matches and book the semi-final spot. The Babar Azam-led side are expected to continue their winning combination in the knockout stages as well, which has evaded Haider a chance to prove his mettle.

In an interview with PakPassion, Wasim thinks Haider should not downgrade his attacking mindset, which in turn will help Pakistan to win more matches with his contributions.

Further, the 33-year-old hoped that Haider will make full use of the opportunity in the upcoming international series.

Here's what Wasim stated

“I would advise him to keep on being positive and doing what he does best which is to play aggressively,

"The way cricket is going nowadays, he needs to play his aggressive brand of cricket and yes there will be ups and downs in his career, but he needs to keep his mindset positive and hopefully as he gets more chances, he will perform better."

Pakistan will be up against New Zealand in the first semi-final in Sydney on Wednesday .
