Indian Women’s team is scheduled to face Thailand Women in match number 19 of the ongoing Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022. The contest marks the sixth and final league fixture for both sides in the tournament.

India Women, under Harmanpreet Kaur, are currently placed at the top of the Asia Cup points table. The ‘Women in Blue’ have registered four convincing wins out of their five league games so far this season. Their only defeat of the competition came against their Pakistani counterparts last week.

Thailand Women, on the other hand, commenced their 2022 Asia Cup campaign on a shoddy note. They sustained heavy defeats in their first two fixtures, first to Bangladesh Women and then against the Sri Lankan Women.

However, they won their subsequent three matches and are currently one of the top contenders to make it to semi-finals.

  • Jemimah Rodrigues has emerged as the leading run-scorer of the Asia Cup 2022, having piled up 188 runs across four innings. With two fifties to her name, she has maintained an average of 94.
  • Smriti Mandhana has been in sublime touch with the bat this year, having scored runs in heap throughout the Commonwealth Games, white-ball series in England as well as in the Hundred.
  • Thipatcha Puttawong is currently the third highest wicket-taker of the 2022 Asia Cup. The young Thailand spinner has collected eight wickets from just five matches for her side.
