The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season will always be remembers for the number of injuries to the players and their replacements being brought in. This season witnessed players from almost all the IPL sides getting injured and then the franchises replacing them with other players.

In the last eight days, 8 replacement players have been named with Mayank Agarwal and Nandre Burger being the latest addition. Here is a list of all the players who got injured and the players who replaced them.

  • The team which benefitted the most from player swaps was the Chennai Super Kings who hit the jackpot with the signings of Brevis, Mhatre and Patel and all three have so far done well for the Super Kings.
  • RCB suffered a massive setback as their in-form number 3, Devdutt Padikkal was ruled out of the tournament and former RCB star, Mayank Agarwal was roped in and he is likely to make his second debut for the team in their next match against the Lucknow Super Giants.
  • Recently, RR suffered injury setbacks with Sandeep Sharma and Nitish Rana ruled out and they bought in South African stars, Lhuan-Dre Pretorius and Nandre Burger as their replacements.
  • Aussie star, Glenn Maxwell, who has been poor in the ongoing IPL was ruled out as well and the team brought in another Australian, Mitch Owen, who scored a century in the BBL finals.
  • Recently, Delhi Capitals also made the move as they roped in Afghan sensation, Sediqullah Atal to replace Harry Brook, who pulled out of IPL at the start of the season.
